  • Marcus Höfl enjoys international repute as founder, investor and consultant in the sports industry.

  • Most recently, he invested in leAD (the world’s leading start-up and accelerator platform in the sports and health-tech sector), ADvantage (international sports-tech fund for technology start-ups), Hype (global virtual accelerator network in the field of sports innovation) and Say (leading specialist in the construction of innovative carbon yachts) in 2021.

  • Marcus was co-owner of the Bundesliga football club FC Augsburg from 2016 to 2021 and is also active on the club’s supervisory board.

  • He is also the founder (1997) and CEO of MHM Majors GmbH, a sports and entertainment group that offers full-service solutions in international sports marketing, such as athlete management, sports consulting and sponsoring, event management, content production and distribution.

  • Marcus has exclusively represented Franz Beckenbauer in all commercial matters since 2003, as he owns all global business personality rights of the football idol.

  • Moreover, Marcus has represented several majors for many years, i.e. companies, associations and (sports) stars such as former alpine skier and three-time Olympic champion Maria Höfl-Riesch (since 2009), TV presenter Andrea Kaiser (since 2012), world-class biathlete Simon Schempp (since 2010), as well as current and six-time World Rally Champion Sébastien Ogier (since 2015).  

  • Marcus Höfl has also represented multiple Olympic swimming champion Franziska van Almsick, tennis legend Boris Becker, world and European football champion Stefan Reuter and the 1996 German Football Player of the Year, Matthias Sammer.

  • In 2013, Marcus Höfl founded CAMP BECKENBAUER, the global platform for top decision-makers in the world of international sport and represented the forum worldwide as CEO. Furthermore, Marcus Höfl develops, implements, markets and hosts various other event formats in the national and international sports sector, such as Mountain Peak (since 2018), the Arab German Sports Summit (since 2019), BILD100 Sport (since 2017).

  • Marcus received the Sport Bild – Award 2013 for “Best Sports Marketing” for the Hermes Fan Tour and the successful premiere of Camp Beckenbauer.

  • Marcus Höfl was also a member of the advisory board of DFL Sports Enterprises – the organisation responsible for national and international licensing, sponsorship and sale of media rights of the Bundesliga – from 2009.

  • Marcus was also heavily involved in the conception, planning and implementation of the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany from 2003 to 2006.

He was born in Bad Reichenhall in 1973 and grew up in Herzogenaurach, Germany, acquiring a love of sports from his parents (father Herbert was a successful speed skater and sports manager, among others at adidas and Opel).

Unternehmen, Verbände und (Sport-)Stars wie die ehemalige alpine Skifahrerin und dreifache Olympiasiegerin Maria Höfl-Riesch (seit 2009), die Fernsehmoderatorin Andrea Kaiser (seit 2012), den Weltklasse-Biathleten Simon Schempp (seit 2010) und den aktuellen und sechsmaligen Rallye-Weltmeister Sébastien Ogier (seit 2015). 

Marcus Höfl betreute auch die mehrfache Olympiasiegerin im Schwimmen, Franziska van Almsick, die Tennislegende Boris Becker, Fußballwelt- und Europameister Stefan Reuter und den deutschen Fußballspieler des Jahres 1996, Matthias Sammer.

2013 gründete Marcus Höfl CAMP BECKENBAUER, die globale Plattform für Top-Entscheider im internationalen Sport, und vertrat das Forum als CEO weltweit. Darüber hinaus entwickelt, implementiert, vermarktet und hostet Marcus Höfl verschiedene andere Veranstaltungsformate im nationalen und internationalen Sportsektor wie den Mountain Peak (seit 2018), den Arab German Sports Summit (seit 2019), BILD100 Sport (seit 2017) .

Für die Hermes Fan Tour und die erfolgreiche Premiere des Camp Beckenbauer erhielt Marcus den Sport Bild – Award 2013 für die „Beste Sportvermarktung“.

Marcus Höfl war ab 2009 auch Mitglied des Beirats von DFL Sports Enterprises – der Organisation, die für die nationale und internationale Lizenzierung, das Sponsoring und den Verkauf von Medienrechten der Bundesliga verantwortlich ist.

Marcus war von 2003 bis 2006 intensiv in die Strategie, Planung und Umsetzung der FIFA Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft 2006 in Deutschland eingebunden.

Außerdem entwickelte er seit 2006 als „Head of Global Soccer“ Red Bulls Engagement für den Fußball und war hierfür u.a. Mitglied des Board of Governors der Major League Soccer in Nordamerika.

Im Rahmen mehrerer von ihm initiierter Charity-Events sammelte er in den letzten Jahren über 2 Mio. Euro für die Franz-Beckenbauer-Stiftung und die Laureus Sports for Good Foundation ein.

Marcus ist seit 2011 mit Maria Höfl-Riesch verheiratet. Er hat zwei Söhne aus früheren Beziehungen und lebt in Kitzbühel und Gardone Riviera. 1973 wurde er in Bad Reichenhall geboren. Aufgewachsen ist er in Herzogenaurach und hat durch seine Eltern (Vater Herbert war selbst erfolgreicher Eisschnellläufer und Sport-Manager, u.a. bei adidas und Opel) die Sportverbundenheit in die Wiege gelegt bekommen.
